What will you need for an ETIAS application?

The official form is not open, but travelers can prepare the expected information without uploading it to a private checklist or pre-registration site.

Core requirement

You will need a qualifying travel document and accurate personal, contact, and passport information. Additional declarations and representative details may apply to your situation.

Travel document

  • Passport or other eligible travel-document type.
  • Document number, issuing country, issue date, and expiry date.
  • Nationality shown on the document.

The authorization will be linked to this document. Check destination passport-validity rules separately.

Personal and contact information

  • Full name, date and place of birth, sex, and nationality details.
  • Home address, email address, and telephone number.
  • Parents' first names where required.
  • Education and occupation information where requested.

Travel and declaration information

The form is expected to ask about the first intended country of stay and specified background matters. Answer from the official wording after launch. Do not rely on a private site's paraphrase for legal declarations.

Applications for minors or through representatives

A parent, guardian, or representative may need to supply their own identifying and contact details and describe the relationship to the traveler. The traveler should receive and retain the application reference and decision.

Preparation without data collection

This site does not ask for passport numbers, scans, birth dates, or application answers. Make a private offline checklist, then enter the information only through the official channel after applications open.
